1. Introduction

Welcome to Crosswind Studio ("I", "My", "Me", "The Business"). By booking a session, purchasing prints, accessing delivered galleries, or using any services I provide, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service.

2. Services Provided

I provide photography services including, but not limited to, portrait sessions, event photography, digital image delivery, print fulfillment, and online gallery hosting.

3. Booking & Payment

  • A session is considered confirmed only when a deposit or full payment is received (if required).

  • Deposits are non‑refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • Full payment is due by the date communicated during booking.

  • Failure to provide payment may result in delays or cancellation of service.

4. Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Clients may request to reschedule at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior may forfeit deposit.

  • Weather‑related rescheduling is permitted at no additional cost.

5. Creative Control

You acknowledge that the style, editing, and overall creative decisions are at the discretion of Crosswind Studio. While requests can be considered, artistic choices remain final.

6. Image Delivery

  • Images are delivered digitally through a secure online gallery.

  • Delivery timelines vary based on session type; typical turnaround is communicated during booking.

  • Final edited images are the only images delivered; RAW files are not provided.

7. Image Licensing & Usage

Unless stated otherwise, all delivered images are licensed under: Creative Commons Attribution‑NonCommercial‑ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY‑NC‑SA 4.0).

Under this license:

  • You may share and adapt images.

  • You must provide attribution to "Crosswind Studio."

  • You may not use images for commercial purposes without written permission.

  • Any adaptations must be shared under the same license.

Commercial usage, reproduction for profit, or publication in advertising requires a separate commercial licensing agreement.

8. Photographer Usage Rights

Unless you request otherwise in writing, I reserve the right to use images for:

  • Portfolio display

  • Social media

  • Website galleries

  • Marketing materials

Clients may opt out of publicity usage prior to session day.

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Arrive on time to scheduled sessions

  • Follow instructions during the session for safety and quality

  • Not alter images in a way that misrepresents the photographer’s work

10. Liability

I am not liable for:

  • Injuries during sessions caused by unsafe environments

  • Lost, damaged, or stolen personal property

  • Delays caused by technical issues, emergencies, or events outside My control

If a catastrophic event prevents image delivery, refunds will be issued where applicable.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
